SKYPE Thing #19

Recently a Social Studies teacher in my school used skype to communicate with a soldier from our area who is stationed in Afghanistan. He allowed the students to ask questions and thank him for his sacrifice to our country. I thought the activity was especially valuable to this group of students because it motivated them to discuss global issues and they were all eager to find out as much as they could.
